i'm not sure how it happened.. but all at once i found myself bidding adieu to yet another beautiful summer. it has always been the most sacred of seasons for me -- long days and warm nights spent with close friends and family.. swapping television for picnics, swimming and lightning bug chasing...
i was fortunate enough to end this summer at my most favorite childhood spot in North Carolina with my family, continuing the tradition with Aaron. our days filled with karate chopping waves… building cars and castles in the sand.. miniature golf.. soft serve... and stargazing on blankets in the sand.
these are the memories that will keep me warm through the colder, not-so-perfect days… and tethered, always, to this very special place i call home.
